We had been to this place yesterday (8/9/04) as it was our II Anniversary. Malaka Spice (MS) is situated in Koregaon Park North Main Road.
Food: The foremost attraction is the quality of the food. Food is very good and authentic in taste. We recommend the Japanese style grilled chicken which tastes too good. Soups are also good as well as the main course. Quantity of main course rice items will not staisfy two peioplw if they are really hungry.
Staff: Staff are courteous and really helpful and provide suggestions to choose the right combination of food. Since the cuisine is Far East/South East, we may not understand the combinations very well. It was raining when we finished our dinner and we had walked down as the place is near to our home. We thought we were struck in the rain when the valet offered to get a rickshaw for us (It was nearly 11 PM) and we found the gesture helpful.
Ambience: In the front portion, candle lit service is available but the place is too noisy. The inside is too small for enjoying a private dinner. The wall paintings are however good. Rate: Rates are reasonable but quantity of certain items needs to be increased. Major credit cards are accepted.
In all, the experience was good.
