Since I stay in Singapore, I often visit malaysia and its a nice feeling to find cheap stuff that is of comparable quality.
I have flown Singapore airlines Business and economy class and they are Ok. But last dec. when I flew to Tokyo on Malaysia Airlines, it was a totally different experience.
First, the ticket on MA is cheaper by about S$ 300-400 (150-200 USD) and they offer the same quality of service. Personal TV screens, excellent food, ice cream, wine and even complementary phone cards. The fleet is modern and a stopover in KL airport is worthwhile as well.
My advice, fly MA whenever possible to get good service for less cost.
