Malgudi days is a novel written by R K Narayan. Which comprises of 30 plus stories about different kinds of people and their life, its based in an imaginary town called Malgudi. I think most of people in India have watched the Hindi TV serial of the same name many years ago. ShankarNag and his wife Arundathi Nag, Master Manjunath and many other famous and extremely talented actors have acted in this TV series.
Malgudi days was directed by the dynamic Kannada actor Shankarnag, its mostly shot in Agumbe, shimoga district in Karnataka and also was shot in some places in bangalore. It was a treat to watch the Malgudi days Tv episodes during the days of doordarshan.
Other popular actors like Girish Karnad, Ananth Nag, Vishnuvardhan and ramesh bhat have acted in this Tv serial.
It is great experience to read a book about Malgudi days, Since most of the people are already familiar with the haracters and the stories in the book.
