Hello all I m tempeted to pen down a lil abt this lady . I neither like her nor dislike her but I could present may be a few thoughts that occur to me when I c her. Initially when I saw this lady and the hype abt her movie khwaish , out of sheer curiosity I googled to find out abt her.May be she was the first woman in bollywood to have ever done it after I started watching films so she surprised me a lotttt. She claimed to be a supressed woman from a small town and that women in her house or town were treated like cows and buffalos in stables err etc .I thought she was bold .
But the things later turned out to be different , Everyone knew that She comes from a family thats well off . (Her parents still dont understand why this belle claims that she comes from a poor conservative family and was ill treated ) She seems to have worked as an air hostess and got married to a pilot and later got divorced etc . Ofcourse that is her personal life and story, It is her who has to deal with it . well but thinking abt her as a person who goes all public making fake stories about the how her own parents ill treated her makes me feel bad. infact really makes me feel awfull ... what about those women who actually are in a worse state and actually are treated like that by the society . It is such a shame to use them up as a mere publicity stunt to gain the attention and the pity of the masses .
We all are in our own professions cause we chose to be and we are determined to face the ups and downs . Likewise she is an actress and the body baring , kissing or whatever is a part and parcel of her profession if she wants that to be .Criticism /fan following / hatred/love are the outcomes of it . I wish she could have handled them in a more dignified way. I hate her loud mouth, to me that shows her insecurity and amy be guilt . If she truly believed in herself and believed that what she did to herself was right , there is no point in making such comments coz they dont prove anything to anyone . Personally these are the two things I dont like in her.
I do feel sorry for her for all that public manhandling she gets . Most of the actresses are in the same boat and based on their miss world / Uni titles or family backgrounds they get treated differently . The difference is others cud have kissed 17 times in 17 movies and she kissed 17 times in one movie . Atleast she didnt have to speak about poverty or mother theresa or global problems to make her way into the films , she spoke abt her own body and her own acts .She is def bful if she wears right clothes , she looked quite nice in a swim suit , formals saris and all but at times she looks gross( viz. at cannes festival ). She deserves an appreciation to make it to a foreign movie and to cannes with out titles or b/g. Film industry is tough , she has made her mark through her own ways and It would be interesting to c her in better roles .
