Man vs Wild is a hit TV show on discovery channel, a very unexpected blow out. The program has something to appeal to everyone; from the beautiful scenery, the intensity of the plot, the outrageous feats, education value, and the thrill of it all.
I make it a chore to watch the show, the main reason for this is the beautiful scenery of the show. The host is usually sent to the most exotic environments and is challenged to survive without any help but a camera crew. The production is great and its almost soothing to watch such exotic scenery. It has actually helped me plan a vacation trip because of one of the episodes I saw.
If you’re searching for a show to excite you, this one will do the job. Bear’s (the host) adventures are very intense and thrilling. You’ll often find him performing outrageous stunts such as swimming in the cold, drinking his urine, or eating some exotic creatures. Those with weak stomachaches might want to reconsider.
There is a significant amount of education value for the show, especially for those of us who enjoy traveling and could use a few tips. Throughout the whole program, they provide the viewer with useful tips as to how to avoid danger, and if one ever encounters a serious threat and are stranded, you’re provide with a significant amount of expert advice. You’re taught how to make fires, how to make weapons, how to make boats, how to discern whether you’re navigating the right direction, and whether or not you health is in jeopardy; and if it is in jeopardy, you’re taught how to elude further danger.
The main negative of the show is the legitimacy of the it. Some question whether or not bear’s adventures are genuine or fake, but this isn’t a big issue.
