I have visited several places in India. If someone asks me where do you want to go for a second time. The answer is Manali. Not only second time but I can visit several times. The beauty of this valley is exquisite. The snow capped mountains surrounding Manali town is worth looking at time and time again. I have not seen another tourist destination having so many beautiful cottages as well as hotels. Almost all of them have breath taking views. I have stayed in Ishaan Resort on Hidimba road. I will write a different review on this great resort once it gets listed in Mouthshut. We were mesmerised when we came out on the balcony the first morning in Manali. I could not believe what I am seeing. It was like God’s abode. Moreover while entering Manali the Beas is flowing in her own glory. You will get calender snaps here. The stretch of road from Mandi to Manali is just awesome. Always journey this stretch of road in the morning to believe me. You can just travel an hour or so uphill from Manali to reach Solang Valley to get lot of snow. You may even go higher towards Rohtang until Gulaba for a different thrilling experience in snow.
A honeymoon in Manali is worth treasuring and much better than many foreign destinations. Or you may just travel there with family for a fantastic holiday. Best time to visit is end of February and early March. And don’t forget to taste roadside chicken fry in Manali market near the Mall. You may shop for sweaters, shawls, sarees etc at Manali Clubhouse. Its not expensive at all as many think. But for showpiece items stick to Manali Mall. You will get the cheapest gift item here in all of Himachal.
