I just want to share my experience which is really bad regarding my daughter’s nursery admission process in Manav Rachna Noida. Bases on my friends feedback for Gurgaon Branch, I filled online form including paying 750 Rupees as fees and subsequently got call from School and got interaction date. We both are working, so we took half day leave for interaction. While half way in the interaction session, coordinator/councillor told us that there is some issue w.r.t. age criteria which is 3.6 in Manav Rachna and my daughter is Feb 2013 born but suggested to keep attending the session and assured us that they will look into it. Session was the worst I
have attended regarding nursery admission, head mistress kept boasting so much in convincing parents which all seemed made up. After some time I felt like leaving the session as I had already made up my mind that I won’t send my kid in a school whose head mistress is so much desperate and making up things to convince parents.
After the session, coordinator told us that my child would be just 3 years and 1 month old on 1st April 2016 and hence not eligible. She tried to justify that other class mates would be almost 6 months older and it would put unwanted pressure on my child. Like a well taught pupil she explained that even day’s difference in age matter at such an early age and cited some big school names who have 3.6 years age criteria. As mentioned that I was already fed up, I wanted to leave but wanted refund of 750 as it was clearly School’s fault, criteria was nowhere mentioned in their website nor was there any check when online form was filled and submitted. Even when we get call for interaction date, this was not mentioned. We had paid Rs.750, took half day leave for fault of School so I just demanded Rs.750 back. On this the councilor initially refused to refund money and later when I insisted and argued in front of other parents, she changed the track a bit and said that they still are considering my case and wants to talk to my child. I knew that this is just to calm things but agreed as I also wanted to see how my child responds to questions from teachers. My child is very open and as expected answered most of the questions. There was one boy who are eligible but could not even answer a single question, may be he was shy or too busy in playing. I don’t want to judge any kid as its altogether a bad practice by schools to judge these kids but just for reference to interaction I mentioned this. School completed subsequent formalities and took 6 photos my child including 2 each for parents. They told us that next day we will get the call but I knew this is just to fool us and nothing else, till date I haven’t got that call even.
So beware of this school, get enough information for Noida Branch before considering it. Its International but standards wise far-2 below par. Every school has clearly mentioned every criteria so a school who can’t even maintain age criteria, how come it can manage bigger aspects of a child growth.
