I was in kolkata for a year I visited this place with a bunch of friends of mine. The place isn’t that far Kolkata its around 150 kms but we went by bus so we had to get down at digha and book at taxi to Mandarmani. We booked a resort and it was evening by then went to beach which was 100 meters away from the resort stayed there till sunset what a beautiful sunset it was with cool breeze running. The next day we went for beach fun did speed boating, bumpy ride, banana ride and the last one was para sailing over the sea I swear that was a moment. The place has nothing more then the beach so we did a two day visit and it was fun.
