The bandits loot the victims in a particular type and area only.
But the modus operandi of these hospitals is unique and spares nobody.
Just as cinema has become a business in the name of art, hospitals have become mints in the name of service.
In Manipal hospital, old airport road, Bangalore, they have invented a new method of plundering the patients.
Under the captainship of Dr. Manjula Shiv Shankar, they wanted to extract extra money from each delivery in the maternity ward, over and above the imposed.’C’ section charges, by a special technical word called " Adhesion".
Soon after the.’C’ section, (which is unwarranted in almost all the cases), is completed, the gynaecologist calls one of the family members and casually informs in a cinematic style, (remember Chiranjeevi’s Tagore?) that she had performed this additional’adhesion’.(actually not does) procedure also, the charges for which are to be borne by them, as this is not covered by insurance.
This is regular, additional income for the hospital and the doctor, without doing any extra procedure. The only thing they do is to say that they have done, which cannot be disproved.
