I underwent angioplasty and was laid in ICU ward. I was advised not to move for 24 hours.
I am a diabetic patient. Of course timely the food was supplied to my table. But no one took initiative to feed me. Because I was in lying position I could not lift myself and have food. Attendent was also not allowed. Due to diabetic I was so hungry. I begged each and every staff in the ward to feed me. No one took care and no one gave heed to my voice. I was forced to shout. Asked them to call my son and am leaving the hospital. The hefty lady who is fit for only fashion parade, asked the cleaning women to feed me. Is this the way to treat a patient in ICU ward.
In my earlier experience in another hospital in the same situation I was attached with 2 nurses to take care of me for 24 hours. That is the proper care of patients in ICU Ward.
Here again when IVF of saline the nurse didnt even checked whether it is flowing. If we call they dont even respond what is the fun in doing ivf like this without making it to enter the body?
Then comes, my initial plaster was removed and was required to change. The male nurse who was seems to be not trained properly just pressing all over the area so harshly, I started shouting due to terrific pain. In fact this needs to be done the doctor incharge of the ward. In my earlier experience the doctor gave a small injection and pressed carefully at the particular spot for sometime without injuring me.
I feel the nursing staff need more training.
Please do the needful so that in future other patients doesnt suffer like this
Thank you
