Recently I admitted in Manipal hospital on emergency due to severe stomach pain. On the outer side the hospital is very big with many specialist doctors available in many departments. But the hospital is purely commercial and is meant for money. The first question you will get from the Manipal staff is’Do you have Corporate insurance?’. Due to stomach pain I admitted in the hospital for three days, actually I got relieved from pain the fist day itself but the doctor advised me to admit for 24 hours.
I had got a two sharing AC room which is quite conjusted and the bathroom needs to be shared again. This room costed me 4300/-Rs per day. The visiting doctors will not come at all and when I asked the staff nurses they told they had already completed the rounds. The canteen food was quite expensive and even for visitor car or bike parking they will charge money. Finally after three days I can find my bill is around 32000/-Rs. I never prefer Manipal hospitals to any one.
