Please please don’t visit this hospital particularly for Gynaecology related treatment and consultation. Worst doctors particularly beware of Shobha Rani who is a agent of Manipal referring you for tests and scans, I am very much sure that a part of the test and scan fees goes to her as well. Below is what she advised to my wife during pregnancy:
Doctor recommended 2-3 crocin(pain reliefs) per day, (please note per day) if there is cramping kind of pain- later on I was told by different doctor that Crocin is deadly in Pregnancy and should be completely avoided.
if you ask anything she would have a simple answer, " reposts are normal as of now, nothing else can be said, what different can we say to you".
She will NOT allow you to sit in her cabin for more than 2 mins, she will create such an environment over there, that you will be bound to leave. she would pretend like everything she has answered and you should not have anything else to ask.
4.When the first day we went over there, to confirm pregnancy, first thing that she spoke to us is , "do you want to keep this baby?" - that day I had thought of NOT visiting that hospital again.
if you will tell her about the problems in availability of dates in Manipal for scan etc, she would directly tell her own clinic’s name which exists in Thippasandra - you can test this and prove me wrong!!!
They asked me to go for a HIV / Blood test for my wife, (any hospital will ask you to go for it), when I went to make the payment they asked me to pay Rs. 5100, for blood test. On enquiry I came to know that it is a pack of 8 tests that they have clubbed together and are charging for that. I visited their for 3 times, and all three times I was forced to go for those tests. But Neither their was a need to conduct the test at that time nor was the price reasonable. On consultation in the market with other top pathology labs in Bangalore the market rate for those tests is 2200.Finally I got it done from the market from a reliable brand.
whenever I get reminded of this doctor SHobha rani, I simply abuse her and curse her. I don’t want you to be in same state, so please don’t go to Manipal.
