I took my 7 year old son to manipal on 2-Sep-2010 for treatment. I got appointment with Jagadesh (Pediotric specialist), a senior doctor. He suggested a table "Montaire 8mg". I tried to purchase the tablet there in manipal but there were long queu so I left to home. in the evening I tried to purchase the tablet from a Medical shop. they said there is no "Montaire 8mg" tablet. it is available with 4mg, 5mg and 10mg.
I tried around 5 shop and got same answer. then I went to Manipal pharmacy they also said the same. then I asked the pharmacy person to call the same doctor and enquire about his prescription. he called the doctor and asked about his prescription but the doctor denied saying he havent given any prescription like that. As us to take 5mg of the same tablet.
I have the prescription with his seal and signature. He didnt accept his mistake. It wrong prescription give by him. My good luck the table with 8mg is not available in the market.
So, Be careful with the doctors prescription.
Being a senior doctor in manipal, should not do such kind of mistake. It is related to life of the patient.
