Manipal Hospital Lack Humanity

Dear friends many of you would have already known about this incident, as you were with me or herd from our common friends about this. But as friends its my duty to let you know as this may come handy in emergency for you.

On 24th August 2007, at around 9.30 PM, while riding back from my friends place after a party, I had a nervous breakdown near Manipal Hospital. The reason was reaction of my over dose of cold drug and Brandy I had that night. Before I pass out I managed to call home and ask a passer by to take me to Manipal Hospital.

I was taken to Manipal Hospital in a semiconscious stage. I managed to give my Medical Insurance card and Manipal Hospital Card at emergency. Sensing that I might pass-out, or die, the Manipal hospital staff dragged me by my leg and threw me in their parking lot.

They made no attempt to, stabilize my condition, or call the police, or find my address from their record and inform my home. Meanwhile my friends, brother arrived at manipal hospital, and the response from manipal hospital was “take him before he dies”. At around 10.30 my friends took me from manipal hospital in unconscious stage.

*Manipal Hospital might have many equipment or facility, but they miserably lack Humanity.

They only admin people who are not in serious danger but good for business. And for business they can go to any extent.*

As narrated by my friends later: My friends and brother, wife and in-laws, took me in their car to another hospital in inner ring road. Where I was declared in dangerous stage, and immediately administered some medicine, and I was transferred to another Major hospital in ambulance.

I was administered intravenous, and some medicine to stabilize my nervous system. The other hospital took the matter seriously and did the needful as a hospital with ethics and humanity will do.

The other hospital I was taken into were concern for money and their safety too. But they did the right thing. They called police, they administer medicine, took my statement. But above all I think they saved my life.

This email is ment to my friends to narate a personal experience. This is for my friend’s benefit, for them to avoid to go to wrong place in emergency. If you have such experience do share with us.)
