Last week my 2 and half year old daughter was very sick suffering from high fever, cold cough. I took her to Manipal to visit an experienced doctor.
I was directed to Anjana Bhadra Choudhary. at our first meeting she scared us and wrote a full page medical course for diseases ranging from Typhod to Asthma and suggested us to see her next day again. Next day we complained that my daughter is not taking any medicine or food.
She changed all the medicine and asked us to start them immediately and asked us to admit her on our next visit again Manipal staff asked us to pay 400/- as consultant fees again. I paid it with out any hesitation.
She asked her to do all kind of blood tests + blood culture.worth 3300/- and she also advised to inject some antibiotics. The moment I heard antibiotics I was worried and decided to take second opinion.
Since it was year end + Christmas + new year time so our Dr. Santosh Kumar (one of the best pediatric in Bangalore) whom we usually visit was on vacation. We tried calling him few times and luckily we got him on the phone and seek his advise about the medication he calmed us down and made started guiding us over the phone calls.
After his valuable advise and all his recommended medication my daughter is normal and started going school. By then the blood culture report was ready so we decided to see Anjana for the last time and see if she has any advise for us. But she was so rude to see the report and even talk to us.
To be a doctor is noble profession but if people like Anjana becomes doctor that to pediatric it will be a curse on the doctor profession. She was so rude that she got agitated when we seek her advise twice to be sure about not giving her any fruits.
I mean you charge 800/- and not able to even diagnose the disease, on top of that you scare people this is so unprofessional act.
I been to Manipal earlier for my surgery and I accept that it is expensive and they charge more for all the procedures but at the same time I also appreciate some of the great doctors who work there.
My experience with Dr. Anjana Bhadra Choudhary this time was very bad and I am upset.
