Bunch of crooks - my exp with our baby's birth

We went to manipal hospital when my wife was pregnant. We met a doctor called Dr.Shobha Rani . Our first few visits went peacefully and we were told to expect a normal delivery. When the due date

came (15 nov) the doctor showed that she was only a roadside chaprasi goon with the morals of a politician.

The junior doctors were extremely rude and crude in their examination methods. They had not the slightest consideration for the patient.15th morning shobha rani came bustling around said now we have to do a caesarian operation as i(the doctor) cannot wait any more.

I told her lets wait another day and see. She said are you the doctor or am i? If you want to wait its your risk. baby may be born damaged and I am not responsible.Hearing such words from a "renowned" doctor I said ok lets do the C section.

The doctor had known by now that my company insurance would cover expenses and I could see her drooling at the prospect of more fees and comission.Needless to stay we were presented with a bill of 70k a week later.I dont begrudge the money part but my observations are as follows:

  1. Dr.shobha rani is just a dyed in the wool thief who has a 100% record of doing only Caesarian operations. Why bother with normal delivery cases when you can earn 3 times as much this way?

  2. Everyone from ward boys, nurses to the people who bathe the baby expect tips.

  3. If you have insurance forget it they will squeeze every penny from them.

In other words for gynec cases avoid manipal hospital. Avoid shobha rani.PS: this shobha rani is a short squint eyed lady who wears 1kg of jewellry when she is in hospital. She has extremely small hands. one look at her and you will know she is just a thief like the rest of the manipal mob.
