Biopics are gaining tremendous audience popularity starting from one of my favorites The legend of Bhagat Singh, Mangal Pandey, Pan Singh tomar Manjhi The Mountain Manand many more. Manjhi – The Mountain Man is one such movie which is truly inspiring and motivating.
The movie revolves around Dashrath Manjhi who took on life draining task of breaking open a mountain to carve a road to his village. This entire event took 22 years to complete. Nawazuddin Siddiqui has always played the role to the prime, bringing essence of Dashrath struggle to the audience. His chemistry with Radhika Apte has added good meat to this movie. What really inspired me in this movie was the story of Dashrath Manjhi who had tremendous will and gut to throw away all worldly pleasures to fight to daunt a task which is unimaginable. His love, trauma of losing her to nature, in-spite of fellow villagers who ridicule him when he talks about breaking the mountain and at the end brings in road connectivity to his village is something all of us have to learn. No task is easy and No task is tough. It is definitely worth watching thanks to the super performances by Nawazuddin Siddiqui and superb direction.
