Freedom! How can one exactly frame the meaning of this word? Is to live the way you want to, to make merry, to go on rides, to enjoy life, to kill, torture small beautiful harmless children…..

Dr. Brian Weiss, Many Masters, Many Lives is a perfect answer for all the atrocities that we are witnessing in the world lately. If the story is to be believed which is by-far away from any scientific reality, is hard hitting and rakes up ones existence in the world.

Catherine, a patient of acute depression and anxiety when in trance could talk about her past lives. She could remember the date, the place, her parents, her relatives and her death. The enigmatic veil that the scientists have been trying to uncover for centuries was beautifully explored in the book. I could relate to Masters voice with Hindu mythology that also talks about soul and its existence after death. Voices of the masters were profound, brazing out the fact about the existence of human being. “Karma” as Indian Mythology would put the same.

The recent carnage where nearly 350 children lost their lives and most than thousand injured was sheer act of cannibalism. What are we fighting for? Land, Ego, Empire, money….. What? One needs to understand where would our needs end. How can the chechnynian rebels be called brave taking innocuous lives under hostages? Can these terrorists ever face up to their own children after the bloodbath? The pictures flashed in the media shocked me, the diabolic act doesn’t relate to freedom struggle. What has come of humans? The voice of masters that stated the evolution of our soul from seven realms, the burden that you carry with each unfinished work can be linked with the complexities that the terrorist carried in keeping innocent and harmless school children under hostage.

I have to yet understand why are we born in the world, is it to fight and hate people. What are we fighting for, for religion, for rights, for piece of land? What?…..
