Can it be true??!

Many Lives, Many Masters is a great book by a prominent psychiatrist for people who are interested in exploring ?life after death? theories. There are two schools of thought, one believing that life follows death and the other who believe that we live and die countless times right here in one life and that death is the ultimate, no life follows it. Well, this has always been worthy of debate and it still remains. To whichever school you belong to, I would suggest that this book is a must read.

Though there are many books, which may discuss this subject, but Dr. Brian Weiss has taken us as close to the truth as possible through his main character, Catherine. Catherine has everything one could want from life ? a good husband, happy family ? and yet, she finds herself getting depressed, not exactly knowing the reason, why. She begins to withdraw from her surroundings, struggling with her inner demons and finally, by the time she reaches Dr. Weiss for treatment, she is a wreck.

Intrigued, Dr Weiss turns to hypnosis to help Catherine understand the reason of her traumas. It is then, what Catherine reveals in the subliminal state, shocks Dr. Weiss and us, readers too. It sounds so unbelievable and yet, it can?t be a fallacy, for Catherine is not even aware she spoke what she did till Dr. Weiss plays the tape for her to work out if she can connect all that with present in anyway. The subsequent hypnotic sessions reveal deeper mysticism that exists in this world or should I say the other world. Whatever conclusion or should I say, thought provoking beginning, each individual will draw from this book, it sure is based on the facts and not a fabrication weaved out of the author?s imagination.

The book brings the reader to a halt more than once, just to accept the revelations and to let them sink down. It is wonderfully written and gives an insight into the heart and minds of people disturbed or otherwise (who mask it well to look quiet and peaceful types). The book also gives some answers to some un-asked questions like, ?why we get along with few people so well?? and ?what goes wrong with certain relations even before it gets started? or ?why we fail however hard we try to make a smooth sailing?? A person after reading this book will be a changed person (if that is, you are sensitive enough!) for it just touches something core within and changes one?s outlook ? to life, people and God!

Happy Reading!
