Inherent Ineptness & Incentivized Insincerity.

The issue…s.. (plural in that if I were to denote them individually, on a “S” per issue basis then I’d be spending the next several minutes hissing. sssss..), with “Maple” aren’t infrequent, isolated or incidental where they can be superficially addressed and amended. Nope. The rot is deep rooted, intrinsic & systemic. It’s who they are. As an unsuspecting consumer, you go there looking for a device either for work or entertainment or a bitta’ both. Some with strict budgets, others a bit more flexible & a few impulse buyers. Regardless of which type of customer you are, from the moment you enter the place or initiate contact over the phone, they start sizing you up. Their insincere “How may I help you?” is more about how they can help themselves to your wallet. Instead of trying to fulfill the customer’s needs and requirements & doing what’s best for them, the buzzards & jackals in disguise are trained to operate in reverse. The questions they ask are to help them figure out how much you’re willing to spend & how they can make you spend it + maybe a bit more. They use “exchange offers” as bait to lure you in but once they have your interest while making you feel obligated using tactics like “checking for stock”, pretending to book it, claiming that it isn’t in stock, then miraculously managing to find 1 single, solitary piece for you at a branch far away, deep in the rainforest, they start devaluing the device you’re looking to trade in. For instance after pretending to confer with a “colleague” they “offered” me Twenty Five entire thousand Rooopeees for my 1.7lakh, 1 year old iMac saying, nobody wants iMacs & that if it were a MacBook they would have offered more. And if I were to trade in a MacBook, they’d find a way to make that seem worthless as well. A bunch of reprehensible reprobates, really. And then there’s the blatant false advertising. “Get iPhone 15 starting at Rs 29, 401 at Grand Opening. Nexus Mall, Navi Mumbai”. Actual ad. No asterisk (), no fine print, nothing. Which they confirmed on the phone as well. But upon sending my assistant to the outlet in person just for my amusement knowing full well that it’s impossible, they changed their tune as expected & said it was only on exchange of another 13 & newer iPhone & some of it included accessories worth such and such and if you use this bank debit card and paid in part in crypto while carrying your Aadhaar Card, vaccine certificate, Lithuanian airways boarding pass, captured a leprechaun along the way etc. Straight up conmen. Not con artists. Con clowns perhaps. Their prices aren’t great. They don’t stock anything that isn’t a dime a dozen and readily available all over. Their after sales warranty is a nightmare. They aren’t honest. When you can buy from Apple directly these days, I’m not sure why mApLe even exists. Hopefully not for much longer.
