Man did I say that a couple of times at a couple of places!
Ok every one here you have it. Out of the mouth of someone who spent 4 years slogging there.(not studying ofcourse) Mar Athanasius College of Eng (MACE) is situated at Kothamangalam, Kerala, India. Its actually on the top of a hill right next to Mar Athanasius College of Arts, so it does have a nice view.
It was established in 1961 in the name of a Syrian Christian Bishop Mar Athanasius. It currently has 5 departments Civil, Mechanical, Electronics, Electrical and Computer Science & Eng.
Intake each year is about 500+ students and is ranked one among the top engineering colleges in Kerala which is the most literate State in India which again is the country that has most number of people working at Microsoft which developed the most widely used OS in the world and blah blah... whatever.
Admission to the college is competitive and requires a pretty good performance in the state entrance examination conducted in April-May (I think) The college is soon to be accredited and awarded grades for each dept by the AICTE, India thus making it 3rd eng. college in Kerala to have done so.
It has a very good library and campus. 3 hostels for boys and 2 for girls. The labs are also good esp. Mechanical and Electrical.
