"Panchara Mukku" - A lovers point at Mar Ivanios College, Thiruvananthapuram( Please be noted that this website has mis-spelled the name Mar Ivanios as Mar Lvanios)
I am an ex- student of Mar Ivanios College, TVM(B.com, 2002-2005 Batch). I would say that the famous spot in that campus was " Panchara Mukku". This was the place were students used to comment on gals and most of the lovers do meet up at this spot. The asset of this place is a tree that over shadows the campus road. A real seneric beauty!
About a year back me and my friends paid a visit to my college and we were shocked to see that a wall has been erected at Panchara Mukku. Westood there for a minute, unable to believe our eyes. All of us were disappointed at that site.
We then headed to our Principal’s Cottage. He was quiet suprised to see us. After wishing him we talked about Panchara Mukku and asked him why such a murder was done to this campus. He, quiet disappointed, said, " It was not my decision, the decision was taken by the management."
After about twenty minutes we got ready to depart.
We all left the campus with a heavy heart and we all said, " Mar Ivanios College has lost its beauty."
Moral: Never destory the beauty of a place, try to do something without hurting nature, it can deface the location. Imagine cutting of our nose from our face. How would we look?"
