Marvellous Magical Beauty of Hollywood

Marilyn Monroe..Well what strikes into the mind of people whenever they hear her name is that she was very beautiful and talented. She was perhaps the best ever Hollywood had. Her acting career is very well-known. Her mere screen presence would leave all the audience dazzled .Her smile was more than enough to mesmerize people. What I must say is that she fascinates everyone even till date.

Even I am fascinated not only towards her acting or looks but also towards her personal life.Perhaps I am so attracted to her personal life and her tragic death that I chose to write this review on her not-so-happy life.

Monroe was married thrice but she had many affairs. But I will discuss only the ones which really made a huge difference to her life as well as her death.

She was born on 1st Jan , 1926 and named Norma Jeane. Monroe’s mother was mentally retarded and her father never wanted or liked Monroe at all. Maybe that is the reason why Monroe wanted to be a Screen Goddess, because then people would love her so much that she would never feel unwanted. She was every photographer’s dream come true.

The camera seemed to just love her. She dyed her hair blonde and adopted the name Marilyn Monroe and started her acting career at the age of 21. By the age of 27 she was undeniably the best-loved blonde bombshell of Hollywood. But her personal life was never as successful as her professional life was. Her notably famous marriage was the one with Joe Dimaggio, a baseball superstar whom she met during a date setup by a press agent. Joe was an introvert and sort of possessive.

He did not like his wife filming such sexy scenes. But what triggered him off was the famous scene where Monroe, wearing a white summery dress whose skirt was blowing up to her ears. What angered him were the fans screaming ’’Higher, More Higher’’.That night there was a really famous fight, famous as the whole floor in the suite they were staying couldn’t sleep.

Their marriage was lead to divorce as Marilyn couldn’t bear her husband beating her. Her most famous affair was the one with J.F.Kennedy.This affair went on for a long time until John’s political advisors came to know about it and asked him to stop it as it would jeopardize his political career. By then his wife also came to know about it. John’s brother Robert cared a lot for his family’s name, So he went to meet Marilyn to ask her not to go public about the affair. But even he started dating her and before she knew it he left her too..

Marilyn was really very depressed. Infact she was so depressed that she was admitted in the psychiatric division of a hospital, by her Psychiatrist. She was scared that she might end up like her mother so when she was allowed to make 1 phone call 3 days later, she called up Joe. Joe rescued her and shifted her to another private hospital where she got well. Joe proposed her again a few days later and so their marriage was scheduled to take place on August 8, 1962. Suddenly everything seems to be right in her life. Her career had just began to work out nicely and she found the love of her life. But what went wrong?

Unfortunately on August 5, 1962 she died. The burial of her body took place on 8 Aug. Joe allowed only the people whom he thought were her real friends to attend it .Officially they declared that she had committed suicide. But in the weeks just before Marilyn’s death, her career and personal life were in a definite upswing so why would she commit suicide?.I nfact just an hour before her death she spoke to her would-be step son and Joe’s son stated that she was in a very cheerful mood.

Several years later it was said that Robert Kennedy did visit her on the day of her death. There are many theories regarding her death. It was said that the Kennedys had something to do with her death as Marilyn knew many secrets about them and she said that she would come clean with in retribution to the pain they inflicted upon her. Another theory was that she died with accidental overdose of the drugs she was taking. But her friends swore that she was a medical expert and knew all about the drugs she was taking.

The mystery part is that why was her body rediscovered 4 hrs after her death, why was she taken to hospital and brought back home to be rediscovered , why was her autopsy report wrong and there are many unanswered whys which perhaps can never be answered. Well I am shocked at the level of the cover-up around Monroe’s death. Stories were changed and evidence went missing. When official inquests were launched they were either shutdown or the findings were laughable. Well it is really appalling , for all the wrong information of her death is really an insult to her memory.
