Our Own Marina Beach

If you are visiting Chennai, then a must visit place apart from temples, museum, is the Marina Beach, which is the second longest beach. Its can be easily approached by bus, and train. If u must bathe in the sea, then a 10min walk from the beach road will give u immense pleasure of strolling through the sands, and the wayside small shops to quench your thirst, and also not to mention the Bajji and non veg dishes along with snacks. There are small rides for children, balloon shooting games, and not to forget the horse rides, though the horses look very thin. Then comes our pattis who want to predict your horoscope by looking at your palms. If you happen to visit the beach everyday, sure u can pick up stories of lot of daily visitors with a lot of stories, romance not to mention. The view for photography and subjects for photography are plenty. If you love strolling on the sand, please don’t forget to keep a landmark for the bike u parked on the beach road, as the Asia second largest beach will make us wander away a few kms. Its not too safe to stay near water, though its brightly lit from the main road of the beach. Police patrol is available, not to worry. Health Conscious subjects find it a great place to exercise. The Lighthouse, Vivekanadha House, University of Madras, Presidency College, Chepak Cricket Stadium, Anna Memorial, MGR, Jayalalitha Memorial, Santhome Church. And of course if you have a taste for fresh catch of seafood, its available on the seashore itself
