THE MISERY OF SHOPPING at Marks and Spencer. MENTAL TORCH-ER GALORE.
My Wife had purchased 1 black formal trouser from M & S Gurgaon Store Ambience Mall India on the 5th of July 2014, during the first time wash the trouser bleed-ed color, spoiling another brand new shirt which was kept for drying with it. We took it to the store and were asked to submit the trouser with them for QC on the 27th of July.
The QC result was communicated to us after much pleading, coaxing and very many phone calls and personal visits to the store after 3 weeks wherein it was a clear case of a new garment bleeding color on the contrary we were told by the store staff that the garment has not bled. Since we were not satisfied with the above we raised a query with the customer care. After 2 weeks of constant follow up our query was unresolved by customer care department also.
The store manager(Mr Asad) later on communicated to us that the money for the trouser shall be refunded we have to collect it from the store. And he still was not ready to accept that there was an issue with the garment and he clearly stated he will not be able to compensate for the brand new shirt which was spoilt due to the trouser. Mr Jatin Gandhi operations manager left no stone un turned to keep us hanging in the whole process. The above episode has left us wondering that how can a brand like Marks and Spencer act in such an IRRESPONSIBLE and DISGUSTING manner and above all staff seems amateurish beyond doubt.
I would also like each reader to know that we wasted a lot of valuable time in the whole process and it caused a lot of mental anguish. If by chance someone at this much acclaimed and esteemed brand has the time to shun the arrogance and go through the entire episode of horrendous customer experience that we have had we would be highly obliged and would feel indebted to the individual. Also if anyone is looking forward to shopping with this brand be sure of wasting your valuable time, money and harassment would be numerous.
