Recently purchased 2 trousers and a shirt from M&S store at 1 MG Road, Bangalore. One trouser material turned out to be absolutely substandard. Gave a complaint to the store manager for sending the item for quality check, but they kept the item for a week and without getting it checked they blamed the customer for using hot iron!! I submitted a followup complaint on M&S India website, but no response was received even after 4 days. Thereafter I posted a comment on M&S Facebook page and received an assurance that someone would get in touch very soon - but even after 10 days there has been no effort from their side to contact me.
Looks like the quality of M&S products as well as customer care has taken a nose dive in recent months. Very disappointing attitude.
Well, it is time to realize that it is not the same Marks & Spencer - it is Marks & Spencer (RELIANCE (I) now. The problem highlighted by me concerns quality and refusal by the M&S Team to look into the issue - very unlike the International quality Brand that it is made out to be.
