I just read Amritas review on this product and was shocked.
This girl doesnt seem to write anything but unfavourable reviews on products even though she doesnt seem to have the slightest knowledge about the product. All her reviews are one form of cribbing or the other, and most are absolutely no help to anyone. Here are a few of the stupidest things I read in my life in her review on the product.
Maruti was launched in 1985 as the people’s car by some dumb but honest politician-bureaucrats nexus in India.
Well the politicians might have been dumb but till date no foreign Company entering the Indian Markets has been able to come up with a more suitable and cost effective car for the Indian Roads. Even today the maruti out sells all other cars put together and I dont think the people buying the cars are dumb, even though Amrita may have been.
every 6 months Maruti increased the prices by 10% !
Anyone having even the slightest knowledge about the Indian economy in the 1990s would be aware that we were facing a situation of double digit inflation as well as the rupee devaluing against other currencies, the Yen was then especially strong, and the Maruti was made of mostly quality parts from Japan. Any idiot should understand that along with prices of onions and potatoes even the prices of Cars would be expected to go up, just cause 10% of Rs 2 is 20p and of Rs 200, 000 is Rs 20, 000 doesnt mean Maruti was fleecing its customers.
800 cc cant even support an air conditioner, forget long drives and uphill journeys.
The maruti 800 is one of the most successful cars on uphill climbs as well as long journeys, given the fact that it is made of light weight materials, it does not require a powerful engine like other cars do, the only negative point is that in an accident, dont expect the light weight materials to provide much protection.
Maruti’s dealers always behaved arrogantly.
I dont know how many dealers Amirta has been meeting with to say that all dealers are arrogant, but Im not surprised that anyone would be arrogant and even down right rude with someone of Amritas personality so I dont think others should take her experiences as normal. You get what you give.
Stay away from ALL MARUTI PRODUCTS. STAY AWAY FROM MARUTI 800. Hyundai and Daewoo are better options.
With the best service in the country, plus the additional factor that maruti is probably the only Indian car manufacturer to be able to make a profit and is not likely to shut shop and disappear as daewoo with its cielo and Fiat with any of its present models may land up doing, Maruti is definitely one of the top choices for any sensible and INTELLIGENT buyer.
People with no work sitting around at home cribbing all day dont need cars anyway. I say to such people, better to keep your MOUTHSHUT.
