This car is not meant for persons above 5 ft 9. I am 5ft 11, my only son is 6 and this car howsoever superb it may be is absolutely misfit for our family of three. My requirement is 100% local. Even if I travel out of us. The dashboard and console is excelent.
There are so many niches and recesses in this tiny car to keep your mobile phones, books, wallets, sun glasses, cans (this storage is excellent). I will buy A-star if (a) Maruti shifts the fuel filler to driver side, and (c) integrates the oddly placed tachometer with the main odometer; and (d) provides alloys as standard in Zxi model in existing price or at a reasonable addition.
I had almost made up my mind to buy this car exclusively for my wifes commuting. But the dealer offered me alloys at Rs 28000 with no adjustment for the existing wheels with covers. Maruti-Suzuki should fix the conversion cost if the alloys are opted pre-delivery. Maruti lost sale of one unit of A-star ZXi just because no policy on adjustment of factory fitted ordinary wheels exists. Another very important point for both Maruti and Hundai should shift fuel filler from left to right (drivers side) for Indian cars. The left side location is suitable for countries other than commonwealth.
Why these companies are not thoughtful like Chevrolet who have in India put the fuel filler on the RIGHT side. the hose pipe does not brush against the body color bumper or the boot paint. This makes it convenient for the driver to communicate with the filling person and view the machine reading closely, and pay the cash from his wallet. This seemingly trivial thing is a very meaningful which only Chevrolet and Fiat have taken care of. Do the readers of this comment agree with me, please convey by SMS at 09988254555 or email.
