I have been driving A-Star since Jan-2010 and have completed 16000 KMs. Well, for me, it is nothing less than a true star, performance wise. It still gives the smooth drive, which makes me feel sometimes that I am driving a brand new car, and the mileage given by the car is awesome. Considering the driving conditions in Kolkata. I am getting around 15-16 in city and around 19 on Highway drive. I am giving some UPs and DOWNs of the Car based on the performance, comfort, reliability, dealer assistance etc. which might help you to decide if you are planning to buy this car.

-Fuel Consumption. One of the best in it’s class
-Smooth Driving Comfort
-Road Grip
-AC
-Pick Up. it’s awesome, even with AC on. However, refer to the pickup point mention in DOWN category as well
-Decent Looks
-Awesome Audio System. Mine is Vxi and Audio is integrated with two speakers at the front. But these are good enough
-Excellent Dealer Support and after sales Service. Auto High-Tech is my Dealer
-Smooth and Easy Gear shift
DOWNs
-Boot Space. This could have been one aspect where Maruti should have worked on
-High Dashboard. May become bit difficult for people with low heights to drive (Not a problem with standard height people)
-Pickup goes down when the car is fully loaded with AC on. You can feel it
Overall, I just love my car, and I do not have any issues or complaints with regards to its performance and on road service.
