I have Alto Lxi since from Aug 2006. Till today Sept 2011 I have driven 93000 km. This car is one of the best car in terms of millage. Still it give me around 15 - 18 Km in city and around 18 to 20 on Highway without Ac(with Ac -2km) . If the speed is between 70 to 80 km/hr on the highway then it gives millage around 22.5 km/lit. I have driven this car at top speed till 120 -130km on highway. The pickup is good, sitting arrangement is good, good at ghat section climb, ok cooling A/c . Up till now no problem in the car with servicing(Sai Service Pune) after every 10000 km.
The only problem with this car is power at high speed. Not really power but the pickup. I mean, when the motion is break then the pick up power is not quick. Like if it is running at 80 to 100 km/hr on highway(NH-4) and comes down to 40 - 60 km/hr due any reason, then you feel the pickup power is less to get back to high speed. But it is obvious one can’t expect from 800 cc engine. This is also true, if it is at high speed with no motion cut then it can overtake any big size cars. Also the car is control very easy with no ABS.
Very easy to drive in city, easy to park . One can really thing of the car for low budget, low maintenance cost, low running cost due to good millage.
Really proud to have this car. Now it is almost 5 years old and I am planing to buy a new car, but I don’t feel like selling this car.
