First of all, maruti makes up for excellent cars upto small size i.e. upto swift. The driving pleasure is not to be compared with any other car in any segment. And alto is excellent car, as a hottest small car in town. That santro owner carved out too much problems that seems to be personal car problems. Those problems are not at all common in all alto models. and I have drived all small cars including santro. there is not so much driving pleasure in any ONE of them. and why do u expect space and performance like a honda city zx? I am 6’ 2" feet and then too never had problems with space or headroom in an alto. I can answer to every stupid blame for that santro owner. the ac is too powerfull, so u wont ever need to switch the fan to full speed ever , unless u are in sahara desert. ac is meant to slowly cool the air inside not to enjoy the fan! and doors open in 2 steps is a logical function, not a malfunction as he says. go and check indica, the door opens in about 5 or more steps. And what is the space like in santro, for 6 people? I can sit easily in the backseat even though my legs are long.
And what about overtaking? wanna become narain karthikeyan??? if u are driving in right gear, in right speed , there is not much problem in overtaking probably u must have got the brain how to drive according to your need. And what about lots of gearchange? are u indulged in any racing or what??
If not then u must drive efficiently and for that alto has got best torque response compared to any other useless car. Anyways who understands TORQUE? What I mean is that u can drive easily in a same gear in city traffic and engine will respond to u even at very low speed in any gear but the top ones. Who the hell can pick up fast in top gear of any car?? His cons are completely personal comments, with a lot of anger for his PIECE. Looks like he wanted to go for a MERCEDES-BENZ E- CLASS and settled for an alto, untill then his all claims are stupidity, not logical. What santro improving? anyone does know resale value of older santro? its below 1.50 lacs. What i want to say is that alto is not at all problematic, but if u still not convinced then better go for honda cars. All those cons are FALSE and i don’t at all agree with him.

YOU can yourself go for a long test drive in your friends alto to test driving and compare with other small cars.
