I own an alto for 3 years. This particular car is a very different car. u can c feminism running all over. u ll be happy with it if u can put up well with female mentality(no offence meant !!!) yes, it can make u feel very proud and smart as well as put u right down in ur face also. u need to understand this babe’s likes and dislikes; as any hindrance in this rule will give u a punctured ego(now u accept its feminine eh ??)
Coming back to the car, Alto is super City car. when I mean"super" its really really super. Its just wonderful to drive in stop-start-stop traffic. the pick up is jus awesome. 1st& 2nd gear rocking. its got a very good low end torque.(though there isn’t a RPM meter; u can judge it, maybe around 1200-1400 rpm. the compact size makes parking so easy. the power steering too helps in handling the car. its not a tall car but neverthless its higher than M800 and zen(old).
I am 5.11 and its good. In the city u can whizz past others, change lanes before others notice, turn with supreme confidence and park with amazing precision. Now thats ur perfect girl right ? well, if u think so, she is not (at all times). Take the alto in a highway, then u ll know how much of a pain women undergo during their labor. Yes, the alto whines, Moans, whimpers, grips, and cries aloud to jus stop her there.I have taken her for 4 lonfg trips, when I mean long its about 500 km at a strech(maybe half an hour break in between). Jus cross 100Km on the speedo, then u ll know that this car is a pain to drive. real pain comes when u want to over take a truck which is moving at 60 Km and u are in 70Km with 4 passengers.Oh my god, u jus cant overtake it without shifting to 4th gear. Just 47 Bhp and its optimised for city, u cant bend the rules, not in this car. I have raced this babe at 120kmph(4 persons, without A/C and I know the pain. official top speed claims is about 128kmph.
The second most worrying factor is the space. when I move from 3rd to 2nd, I invariably keep hitting the passenger knee ot my left side(its so compact..u get it ?). Also the rear space is little, u cant stretch ur legs at all(even for 5.8").
Sometimes the shift from 4th to 5th and vice versa can increase ur pressure. its hard, but only sometimes. Also, the gearknob is too high, gives a feeling I am driving a 80’s vehicle.The only thing u feel talking about her in highways is mileage!!. Jesus Christ!!! how did I forget that !!. this car is made for Mileage. Jus that. and in a highway u get that in plenty. my babe gave my around 20-21 odd in highway. I think that’s up there in the top. nobody needs any clarification on that. in city it gives 16 odd with A/c on. that’s a tremendous figure(!!!) is’nt it ?
Overall she is a purely Urbane car. jus made for the city. If u re a city dweller(preferably single, but if u re unlucky u hav a wife!!!(more than that u re called "doomed"!!!)) u ll have a great time with this babe. jus make sure u dont try to race with her , as she ll fondly put u to shame. take care of her like a new girl friend!!Dont rush her; keep her calm and she ll keep u smart. keep her warm ; and she ll keep u in charm!!. Remember, she is Great as long as u obey rules !!! The Rules of Life!!!
