although I haven’t experienced this one but I have taken the views of my friend who has bousht this one.
There is a definite improvement over the Zen and 800 suspension. The Santro and the Matiz are definitely behind on this front. The steering is a bit heavy at low speeds, the corner hugging features was tested only a couple of times (its still my new car!) and overall good handling and the squeel of rubber.
A whopping 62BHP @ 6000 rpm are able to take it from 0-60 in less than 6 seconds in city driving conditions. A 1061 cc engine with MPFI makes sure that you have enough power even for the car next to you. The gears are a bit harsh though, not as smooth .
The front seats are more roomy than the rear, this is where the car definitely looses out to the Matiz. The boot is however more spacious than the Matiz. Leather strapped steering, cup holders, vanity mirrors, power windows and central locking provided all the ’’gizmo feel’’ he was looking for. Fuel Efficiency: Just doesnt chug above 11km in the Chennai traffic.
my friend is quite satisfied at the price he paid for this car, would have been able to sneer more at the competition if only the fuel consumption did not do a Truck proud.
overall it is very good offering from maruti and I understand that is also widely accepted in the market.
