Its hot

Perhaps the best small car from Maruti, the Alto Vx brings a wave of freshness in the small car market and when I first saw it, it looked a hint at it being a very spacious car inside.I was also impressed by its design, especially the front which makes the car looks classy. The 16-valve 1061cc engine feels peppy, reacts to the throttle and one starts thinking that this is some car. The quality of gearshifting is remarkable. Driveability is great as there seems to be good driving power available right across the rev range. In all the Alto VX is fun to drive in the city and will not be caught wanting at traffic lights or during overtaking manouveres but unlike so many cars with single faces, the VX is multifaceted and will keep you cruising effortlessly on any of our highways. In terms of fuel efficiency, the VX gives 22km to every litre of petrol for highway and 15km every litre of fuel for the city. The car is not as spacious as the Wagon R but scores over the Santro. Boot space is huge, more than the Zen but stops short of that of the Wagon R. The VX interiors, look to be a totally different world. Leather clad steering wheel, two tone fabric on the upholstery, fabric inserts in the door panels, cupholders and a pod for the gear lever , power windows, central locking, internally adjustable rear view mirrors and a reworked instrument panel with a rev counter.

Air conditioning is superb and if comparisons are to be made, then nearly twice as good as that of the Zen The VX has an identity of its own, is a good performer and a brilliant all-round car. If you are looking around for a small car this is the one that give you the best value
