Alto LXI a babe to be in love with

It was my 1st car and was given all kinds of thghts and suggestions from friends and family.

Test drove a Santro, Indica, Zen and Palio. Palio had a price tag which I couldnt afford at that point in time and hence dropped the Palio off my menu.

Indica’s again posed a question mark on my head if I shud go for it since I was used to seeing indicas being badly driven by cabbies and hence dint want to go for it. It was around the same time Indica V2 was released but then my mindset was always set to the fact that the car couldnt be used as a family car.

I somehow dint like the Santro for its looks.Heard the cars performance was great but somehow dint like the looks.

Tried a Zen, again looks was bad. The new re-modelled Zen looked a lil’ funny to me.I preferred the older model of Zen.

One of my friends convinced me to try this new babe in town which was an Alto .

I took a test drive on this car and there it was ’’ My 1st love’’.

Well the car wasnt as powerful as a Zen/Santro/Indica/Palio, but sure caught my wits. The feeling was too good. I booked the car same day and made a down payment. Car was a 2004 model. Trust me its a wonderful car for beginners and people who are looking for driving comfort.

I have a passion for travelling and photography and this car has been my best friend.Never broke down on any of the drives and has never given me any problems. Its been a beauty of its type.

Mileage in city limits with AC on was about 16kms/ltr. Long drives have reached abt 19-20 kms/lts. I did Bangalore-Cochin in this car thrice and was n absolute beauty on the highway.

You can touch top speeds of about 115kms/hr and the car would have the least bit of shake on the steering wheel.

Its 2 years now and I am parting with this car now which is still in the best of shape and has never given any problems. Heading to buy a Baleno now.

But I sure will never loose sight of my 1st love because my sibling is buying the Alto from me. The car is great to own and drive.
