Dealers cheating methods - Maruti

My article is purely about the dealers business methodology and how I got cheated.


I purchased on my wife name(A. Geetha Anandhan) a brand new ALTO Lxi from the dealer M/S.Pillai and Sons Thanjavur, Tamilnadu on Feb 2007, total cost on road 316, 000 and recently I wanted to upgrade to SWIFT, using ‘true value’ a division of Maruti. While they analyzed my car, they valued it 155, 000,


I got surprised and asked why its 50% within 3 year, the reply was the car manufactured on 2006 and hence they only calculate the value from the manufacturing date, not from the sale date.


The have sold the 2006 car in 2007 and achieved their business target without informing me, now no one can answer even recently I complained the branch manager in the same show room


Friends, Be careful, while buying a new car during beginning of the year confirm the production date / model of your vehicle.
