Maruti not delivered what is promised.

I was very very happy to buy my own car. The Alto K10 VXi in fire brick red color was delivered by Dewars Garage Ltd, 4 Council House Street Kolkata on 8.12.2012. The selling process went smoothly without any major hiccup.


However, the pathetic after sales network of Maruti is putting me off like anything. Within one month of ownership I started to regret the decision of buying a maruti car. In next few lines I shall tell you why.


Within 10-12 days of my ownership I found that my car does not have any power accessory socket. For those who needs a bit more on this feature- this is the socket where you can put your mobile charger or other electrical gadgets in to power them.


This is a distinguishing feature between LXi and VXi trims of K10 model, as per printed brochures of Maruti and their website. I first reported this absence to my sales advisor who told me that this feature is not available in any of the trims of K10 model. Quite astonished on this declaration I contacted maruti online support (Anytime Maruti) and explained my problem, first on 20/12/2012.


From then on it is promise after promise from their end that too only in emails (they did not bother to call me even once) without  actually taking steps to solve my problem. They even have the audacity to close a complaint without informing me after generating a complaint number. Such is their customer care initiative!! Keeping the customer out of the loop. I am still to receive a single phone call from maruti’s end.


So friends beware of the Maruti scam. Their efficiency in service is a myth and not a reality.
