Maruti Suzuki Celerio will get dual airbags and ABS as an option, including the base version. Celerio is also the first car in the Maruti Suzuki stable to get the compact 800 cc diesel engine, making the Celerio the only car in its segment to come in three fuel options - Petrol, Diesel and CNG.
The petrol Celerio is powered by a 1.0-litre, 3-cylinder engine putting out 67 hp at 6000 rpm and a maximum torque of 90 Nm at 3500 rpm. The 800-cc diesel engine makes 47 hp at 3500 rpm and 125 Nm at 2000 rpm.
A 5-speed manual transmission is available for all the three engine options while a 4-speed AMT is available only for the petrol version.I’m writing this review after having driven the car for 5000 km?(both city and highway combined) and believe me. It’s a complete stunner in every single way. Starting with looks, the front has a sort of aggressive looks(thanks to its?headlight design) and looks great. The looks are not the greatest but still digestable and appears to be inspired from Renault’s Duster. I liked the compactness of its exterior.
Despite that, the interior space of the vehicle is awesome. It can easily fit in a pack of five passengers due to its slim seats. The quality of plasticCelerio is a nice city car and amt is effortless to drive. Its amt has been designed to deliver a good mileage. The amt seems very precise and intelligent too. Despite its light weight it cruises very stable on highways, but its weight contributes to its mediocre ride handling. About engine, Model: Celerio LXI AT Good: Very easy to drive AMT in city traffic. Fuel economy is 16 average till now(Almost 2 years) Turning radius is small Boot Space is good Wider car, can seat 5 people easily at rear Good highway stability Good City maneuverability Power in 3rd gear is excellent
