The king in full size sedan segment as Maruti lovers may say but I would like to address the downsides of owning a ciaz.
First of all Im not a die hard Maruti lover or so concerned about the maintenance costs and all so these things got very little influence on me. So Maruti is a very popular brand in Indian roads due to their wide range of vehicles and years of experiences. Most of the Indian buyers are so influenced about the kilometers you get for litre of fuel, in all these aspects Maruti wins. Does all that is the major things u should be concerned? Well my answer is absolutely a big NO. You should consider the driving pleasure, sportiness offered riding quality, handling etc. And these are the areas where Ciaz is a big loser. Let me explain.
The Maruti Suzuki Ciaz ZDi Plus exterior is not so good looking, it doesnt offer any upper hand among other sedans in its class like verna or city or cruze.
The Maruti Suzuki Ciaz ZDi Plus dashboard design and meter consoles are way too old and doesnt feel any high quality. Plastic used are all cheap looking.
When looking at the front and passenger seats u find these seats are so pathetic, not much foam or cushion to support the sides and shoulders.
When going to the rear seats u find really congested back there, I mean who on earth would sit there and relax for a long ride. You didnt get good legroom or headroom in rear seats.
When going in bad roads the vehicle actually goes up and down and you almost feels like you are in juice mixer thanks to the pathetic suspension system Maruti provided.
I believe that all these low class things comes from Maruti because company is so obsessed on cutting down price so that they think gives an upper hand in the segment. I will not recommend ciaz to anyone in my friend list and those who are more concerned about maintenance cost and mileage can go for Maruti Suzuki Ciaz ZDi Plus, because those people really deserve to learn a lesson I guess.
Hope this review makes you guys to choose product wisely and for your requirements.
