Maruti Suzuki India unveiled the 7-seater MUV or you can say LUV "Ertiga" at the 2012 auto expo in New Delhi on 6th January, 2012. It is based on the RIII concept which was displayed at the auto expo in New Delhi in 2010. Maruti Ertiga is available in seven variants with two engine options - petrol and diesel. The petrol one is 1373cc K-series engine which generates maximum power of 93.8 bhp with maximum torque of 130 nm. The diesel engine is 1248cc 16V Multijet, which generates maximum power of 88.8 bhp with maximum torque of 200 nm. The tag-line of Maruti Ertiga is’A Feeling Called LUV’. Maruti Suzuki India has priced Ertiga very competitively at Rs. 5.89 lakhs for the base model of petrol and Rs. 7.30 lakhs for the base model of diesel. Maruti Ertiga is available in seven shades: Serene Blue, Ecru Beige, Fire Brick Red, Granite Grey, Silky Silver, Dusky Brown and Superio White.
