I got my Maruti Suzuki Ertiga ZXi 2 days back from Spectra Motors, Borivali, Mumbai. After the first day of happiness and joy, when I went to start my car the 2nd, I couldn’t start it. At first, I thought the problem was due to battery discharged. However, when I called the battery mechanic, he confirmed that battery is not a problem and there is some other issue.
I called up Maruti on road service and their mechanic arrived in 1 hour. He took over 2.5 hours to detect the issue. At first, he told me the issue is related to some wiring not being proper and all. He then realised something and asked me to get my 2nd key. The car started with the 2nd key. He then said that the immobilser system was an issue and asked me to get this re-configured from the service center. Next day, when I again attempted to start the car, the car didn’t start.
This is totally unacceptable as it seems Maruti has not done the required quality checks on the car systems. It is very unreliable and faulty. We are extremely upset that if after buying 9 L car, this is the kind of vehicle you get.
My advice to everybody is "avoid Maruti high-end cars". Nissan / Toyota are more reliable.
