A car, no more of a van. The maruthi omni is a vehicle that provides what a an average middle income man, saving up to go from 2 to 4 wheels
-Its cheap at around 2.5lacks approx mind you you can get second hands even for about Rs. 70000 at a decent condition
-It provides good mileage at about 11 to15 kms in the city and upto 20 in the highway
-It has enough space to cary half yoor house. It can easily carry 6 adults and 4 children
-Low maintainance is also key feature of this car as like true maruti should be
Well it does come with draw backs its no Masserati or Bentley, not even close
(sorry for the comparison, ill get to the point) this is because thats not what its meant to do.
-Safety is something that the omni doesnt understand. With just a thin piece of metal between you and potential danger, When something does hapen the latter does win.
-You cant expect a load hauling, fuel efficient van with aerodynamics as good as a cardboard box to go at 100+ km/hr, so it doesnt
-Handling is another addition to the Omni’s weaknesses. With its small wheels and underpowered engine it doent handle too well, it stars ratling vigoursly even at 80km/hr
Its a good or bad car depending upon your needs and expectations.
