Caveat Emptor...!

Yes, It means Buyer Beware... ! Before Purchasing Maruti Omni, please keep in mind that this is not a very safe vehicle. So unless you are an expert driver, I would not advise you to go for it. However, this is my personal experience and personal views and may not apply on others. And then the accidents don’t happen with everybody or everyday. One of our relatives, a young boy of 25, purchased Maruti Omni and unfortunately, he is no more in this world. It seems, the driver is not safe in this vehicle. He was driving it with five more people (It was the bigger version). In the night, we don’t know what happened but the vehicle struck with a tree on the side of the road. All six people got killed in the gruesome accident because the chassis collapsed and they got pressed in between the seats and body. Police could not take the dead bodies out safely. So the chassis of this vehicle is not good et al. It is very weak. Safety features of this vehicle need improvement. And stability seems to be bad. Though one accident can’t decide the fate of a vehicle but still I will warn to take care. The driver is too close and so can get hurt immediately if an accident occurs.

Other features like price, running cost, mileage are good.

Its best feature is off course as per its name omni, it can be used as a multi-purpose vehicle and its door gets opened in narrow lanes very well.

Overall, if you are a good confident driver and looking for a low priced, economical vehicle, you may go for it.

But for new people or learners, learn driving fully on Maruti 800 type vehicles and then go for such things.
