Below is the note I have written to Maruti and I am sharing the same here. The car is great but the below fault was not expected from Maruti on a brand new car. My advice:- while taking the delivery of the car, check for any sounds coming from the cabin, especially with Maruti Ritz .
I also use to get sound while applying breaks initially which now has gone. I am sharing this here because I know Mouthshut reviews is being read by many prospective buyers and I did the same. I will surely recommened this car but yes, without these sounds. Good luck to all future buyers:-
I took delivery of brand new Maruti Ritz VXI on 28th Nov 09. Upon driving the car from Showroom towards home in borivali (W), I realized that a small cracking sound is coming from the car. The sound comes
continously when you are driving the car with windows closed. There is no sound when the car is stationary. I immediately informed my car agent & his team leader and informed them about the problem. They asked me to bring the car next saturday which I did. The engineer spent some 3 hours on my car to rectify the sound which they couldnt fix. So they again asked me to get the car which I did on last Monday (7th Dec).
The Service Engineer had agreed the sound coming from the car and said he would fix it on Monday but unfortunately even after keeping the car the whole day last monday, the sound still exits. He says that he has fixed the problem and the sound is because of the speakers fitted in the doors but I clearly told him that the sound was there even before speakers were fitted.
I am feeling helpless now as no one cared about my problem. Such type of faults is not expected on a brand new car and surprisingly Spectra Engineers are not able to fix it.I have spent good amount of fuel, time and have wasted few hundreds KM’s in getting this sound problem fixed but all in vein. I am due for my first servicing on 1000 KMs which I have barely used for luxury. I am writing this mail to you hoping for something you can do and help me in getting this problem fixed or else I will have to take my car to a private technician of mine and spend some money on it.
I am going to share this with all (Online & Offline) and will tell them about my experience with Maruti & Spectra Motors.Such things are not expected in taking a brand new car.
