What I am going to write today might be dejecting to some of those who made up their mind to buy the ritz soon.I am so impressed seeing the 99% MSians recommendation for this car and there is no other car in this entire website which was given such a positive note.
Excited about this , I had called for the test drive of Vdi model. Sorry to hurt your feeling people, but I am surprised what was so thrilling in this car.The car which came to my place was only used for 5350 km. Started the engine and in the 1st gear , hated the steering control.My first question to the sales guy, is this a power steering ? And he said yes.
No way was my answer. I have driven so many cars and never felt the steering so heavy and worse. It was similar to an Ambassador car of 1980s. The driving was no way comfortable.Making small turns or U turns was hectic. I had to completely hold the steering which remained fixed in single position after completing the turn. The engine was so noisy that it sounded like a Sumo with a trekker engine and this led to a noisy inside cabin.
The boot space was the worst in hatchbacks and u can maximum fit 2 medium suitcases. Immediately I decided not to waste my money in investing for this car though it carries lot of brand name and stuff. I have driven almost all hatchbacks and eliminated one by one after being so impressed with fabia. But I wanted more information to support my decision. And now my decision has been made.I am goin to choose fabia considering all the features I mentioned in my review of fabia .
And to all those who want to test drive this car, ensure u get in the seat of a properly maintained one else u will be confused in deciding the right car for you.
