Specifications have already been mentioned by everyone and are available on the Net for everyone to see the same data; for which reason I shall simply try and put my opinion on the ride et all. In addition, I would also not use this area to compare it with i10 or be judgemental towards Ritz as my choice of hatchback.
Vehicle driven: Ritz VXI
Handling:
Very smooth indeed. Easy to handle, take U-turns and navigate(forced) sharp curves.
On the flip side though I found the gear lever vibrating a bit.
A/C:
- Good, but not as great as expected.
Styling:
Decent when compared to earlier Maruti models but leaves a lot of room for improvements.
Hated the back and even after reading so many reviews, I am unable to change my mindset.
Did not like cup holder in the door pockets.
Liked the area provided for tickets, maps etc. on the dash-board.
Liked the open and close glove-compartment.
Better plastics compared to older versions of Maruti but still not good(hard) enough.
Comfort:
Excellent driver comfort.
Back seat is bouncy(maybe since the seat is placed a bit higher compared to the front).
Easy ingress and exit owing to its tall-boy look
Noise insulation is not too good; one can hear the din of the engine. This is not a big issue but could turn out to be if one is testing more than one car for a purchase.
Storage:
Boot space is small
Storage spaces within the cabin(glove compartment etc) is good and well thought about
Value For Money:
Although wider(if not the widest in its class), at 4.93lakh without music system, rear-defogger/wiper and tilt steering, I think the price is a bit more than what was expected. In addition, the difference between the diesel and Petrol versions is too high(80, 000)
