I recently bought Ritz after test driving 5-6 cars. In terms of drive, space and after sales service, I think that Ritz beats i10, and Beat any day anywhere. We also looked at other cars like indica, and couple in lower price ranges like spark and santro. However, they went out of consideration very quickly on performance and space. Swift had a 2-3 month waiting period, so it also went out of consideration.
The tough competition came between Figo and Ritz where my wife and I had to go and take test drive of both these cars thrice over 3 weeks, read through practically every review available on net, watch all concerned car reviews on youtube and talk to many people. What we found was consistent everywhere. Figo has very good interiors, exceptionally good space, good drive, can see bumper corners, all accessories in lower price. My wifes comment probably describes it better. When she sat inside it, she said "This car is really good. I am loving it. And it looks like a car too".
Previous Ritz drive before that was 2-3 months back. So, we went for another Ritz drive and her perception simply changed. She was neutral now. Ritz was just too smooth and spacious, and was a competitive buy, but with higher price tag.
So we checked all reviews and comparisons we could find everywhere, in text, video and from friends. Team BHP comparisons on youtube were perhaps most useful.
Later I took her again where she drove Ritz. In less than 10 seconds of being behind the wheel, she said "Finally I am inside a real car. This is what every car should try to be". That was the decision maker for me.
Ritz has an obviously better engine on mileage, torque, turning radius, smoothness, pickup, power and everything else that mattered(than Figo). Space is also very good where 3 people can comfortably sit in rear. Extra headroom makes car feel really spacious too. If you like to drive and are going to drive yourself, andd are ok with good space I would blindly recommend Ritz. If you are ok with good drive but want exceptionally good space, go for Figo.
