While my uncle was planning to buy a car, he was asking my opinion about the Suzuki’s latest uipdate 2017 S Cross Facelift car. Since I was abroad for more than a decade, I didn’t know much about the conditions of indian car models. So he himself checked with one of his friends and decided and bought.
When I came on vacation, he started to give lot many complaints about the car. The first thing which I observed as its set back was the design. Though it looks better than its previous models, still not competitive and attractive enough. They have tried to copy the design of BMW X1.
The interiors are neatly designed and improved from their last model. The leg room us good enough at the back seats, however it lacks in the front seats( Co Pax) .
As regards to the engine it comes with a 1.3 L and 5 manual gearing system. Though this is good for driving in plains and hills, the fuel consumption is much higher than that of models at par.
The ground clearance is 137 mm. This is good as per the indian bumpy road conditions.
The dealers and the service centres are not doing a great job as per my uncle’s opinion. They don’t have that much technical knowledge to explain us about the fault.
To compromise with the price paid, in my opinion its an very average car and not competitive with the other brand cars at par.
