In todays scenario, we have many options to choose from. But, once we have made the choose, we either dont have time to even think about anything else with the car or do anything about it, and live with it. It might have been a love affair with the car, I mean we might have judged its looks, and now a days the fuel efficiency in the longer run. However, these love affairs are pre-biased and they go with the notion of saving and having some comfort. Though, my parents bought a maruti 800 and they are happy with it, since it serves their purpose.
I did bought a lovely pontiac sunbird though I sold it since I drove it rashly after few months and an recovery from a friend who childishly played with my car. I want to give my best advice since I did some research on the cars in India. I test drove carefully, many times Maruti swift, alto, wagon R, maruti 800, and many more.
In my opinion, if you are in india, and you are thinking of buying a car. Thats Maruti Swift..... It catches the eyes of the passerby, at least me. It has the Maruti reliability, its affordable in the range of 25-30 years of age and the paint is good too. I always go with the first sight and I think that this car made the kind of urge to drive when I drove it. I dont know about the dealership or anything. However, since I dont have control over the driving, hence, I only take a test drive. At my company, they have a outlet for the same. I just test drive there. Its beautiful and it talking in my language, it sings beautifully.
If you are in Europe, then you may try TATA NANO, which will be launching in 2011...... with a price variant.... and if you are lucky, then you can try with some other car... BUT MY CHOICE IS THE BEST and THATs FINAL.
