Finally we have our Dzire at home and its been over a week. So, we thought to give in some inputs with this car and the drive so far.
Here are some comments -
Highs
Great value for money. We were initially going in for Honda City but it cost more by 1.5+ lacs. Moreover, the design & features given inside were not as competent as of Dzire. I do understand that City may not be the right car for comparison in this segment, but our choice(irrespective of cost barrier) was among City and Dzire.
Low Maintenance. Its Maruti, so nothing to explain.
Great resale value. Its Maruti again, so nothing to explain.
Good mileage. I am promised 18 kmpl for Diesel. But, still need to test it and estimate. Again, I am not comparing with Ford, because it was never our choice for the looks.
*Lows
No remote - The integrated audio system does not have a remote. We did not pay attention to this whilst purchasing, but on delivery when we found that remote was absent because the company doesn’t have one! This is a very small item that Maruti could have supplied, but I cannot believe it was a part of their cost cutting measures.
Close to Zero noise inside - Not sure whether to call it a low/high because it is important to hear atleast the horns of other vehicles inside your car. But, too much is definitely disturbing. The outside noise inside our VDI model is extremely low and one needs to hear hard to identify neighbouring vehicles.
All in all, we are really happy with our purchase and already people are eyeing over whenever we ride in the city.:)
